Dr. Perry's office was inspired by the plantation home, Asphodel.  The home's name came from the Greek word for daffodil and was built in 1820 in St. Francisville, La.  Gordan Allen drew the exterior elevations from photographs of the original home and served as contractor.  In contrast, the interior of the office offers a modern open feeling with ceiling heights of over 20 feet, antique brick and maple flooring, and expansive windows in each treatment room overlooking a private courtyard.  Jeff Kauffman, an architect who specializes in dental and medical office design, in Austin, TX, designed the interior of the building. The office has frequently been toured and photographed for use in business and residential design.
